logoThe H6 is a new compact SUV created by the Chinese manufacturer who is mounting: Great Wall. And as Geely did with its Gleagle, Emgrand and Englon brands, Great Wall no longer exists as a brand and is now divided into three "sub-brands": Voleex for sedans, Haval for SUVs and Wingle for pickups and utilities. It is therefore logical that the H6 joins the Haval catalogue.
The H6 is very ambitious and, according to Great Wall, it offers the quality of foreign cars at Chinese prices. To get there, the H6 is the first vehicle to leave the new state-of-the-art factory in Tianjin and was designed with quality as its primary objective.
At first sight, the drawing, if not unpleasant, corresponds to what was done ten years ago.
But at least for once the H6 doesn't plagiarize any other vehicle (plagiarism being one of Great-Wall's specialities). The dimensions are in the average of the category:
- length 4.64m
- width 1.83m
- height 1.69m
- wheelbase 2.68m
This model is intended for the Chinese market and emerging countries where the manufacturer has a network. But the great novelty is that Europe is in the spotlight. A refrain you will hear many times, but this time you can believe it because the engine offer composed of two petrol blocks for the Chinese market also includes a diesel engine for Europe:
- 2.0L gasoline engine, 133 hp, 186 Nm
- 2.0L Turbo petrol engine, 150 hp, 310 Nm
- 2.5L Turbo diesel engine, 150 hp
Great Wall is already present in Italy and Bulgaria and intends to weave its web on the old continent.
In China in this price category (from 95,000 yuan to 150,000 yuan, i.e. from €10,200 to €16,200), the competition will be called Byd S6 or Roewe W5 for example. 2011-haval
